Nirvair Singh Khalsa - The Alaskan Yogi - began studying with Yogi Bhajan in 1970. He is a university instructor and has taught classes in Kundalini Yoga at the University of Alaska, Anchorage since 1975. His Beginners' Kundalini Yoga Series (available from Yoga Technology) is a fully accredited University course. He is now CEO of the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI).

In 1970 Nirvair Singh began studying with Yogi Bhajan, who honored him in April 2005 with the title of Mukhia Singh Sahib.
He was a university instructor, and for 30 years his classes at the University of Alaska have had consistently the highest positive student evaluations in his college.
Nirvair has taught over 11,000 classes attended by over 275,000 students in his career, including seminars, classes and retreats all over the United States and in Mexico, Italy, France, Russia, and India.
He has authored videos and books on Kundalini Yoga. With his family, he lives in Anchorage and owns a natural foods brokerage company. He loves to run, ski, bike and hike with his family in the mountains of Alaska.
He is Co-founder and CEO of the Kundalini Research Institute and serves on the Board of Directors of the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association.
Nirvair Singh, today, has published a full collection of nineteen books and DVDs. Through his classes, seminars, and specialized products, his knowledge has extended to thousands of individuals throughout the North American, European, and Asian continents.
