Kundalini Yoga for Conscious Awareness

My Kundalini Yoga classes offer students an experience of self awareness and inner bliss through a combination of yoga kriyas, breathing exercises, sacred chants, and guided meditation. My teaching technique is aimed at helping students feel safe and comfortable in their bodies in order to build their confidence in exploring deeper levels of awareness and inner peace. Through the Kundalini Yoga exercises, I encourage and facilitate the release of blocked energies and the opening of chakra centers to enable students to feel more balanced in their body, mind, and spirit.
I am currently working with students on a one-on-one basis in private settings to tailor a program suited to what they would most like to get out of their yoga practice.

Private in-home instruction is available in the greater San Diego area and neighboring cities or at Chris's quiet North Park residence.
Chris Zook, M.A., R.Y.T., has been a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance since 2005. He has practiced Kundalini yoga with Guruattan Kaur Khalsa and as a daily practice since 2001. For more than a decade prior to discovering Kundalini yoga, he pursued a variety of other healing modalities, including Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi Chih, meditation, and Reichian Bioenergetics. Chris gained extensive teaching experience, both in a classroom setting and as a private tutor, while completing a graduate degree in art history at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He earned an M.A. in 1991 and advanced to Ph.D. candidacy in 1993. He continues his training in yoga and other spiritual practices through a variety of classes and workshops.
