As part of our accounting procedures, we retain details of all orders placed on our site. This information is stored in a secure location and is used strictly for internal accounting and auditing purposes. All credit card information is encrypted to fully comply with the security requirements of the card issuing companies.

Tell-A-Friend
If a visitor elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend's name and email address. Yoga Technology will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. Yoga Technology uses this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. It is then deleted from our database.

Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time our site may request information from visitors via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the visitor therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code). We can also use IP Address Verification as a further security check on purchasers, comparing the physical location of server and user.

How we use the Information we Collect

Information collected on our site is used in three different ways:

First, we analyze customer information in aggregate - that is, we collect information about thousands of site visits and analyze it as a whole. This kind of study involves looking for trends among our many visitors, rather than analyzing information about any individual customer. Second, we request information from the visitor on our order form. Order Confirmations
After you place an order on our site, and after we have successfully collected payment from your credit card, you will receive an email confirmation from us. You will receive this email only if you have provided your correct email address during checkout or as part of registering.

Third Party Intermediaries

We also use a Web hosting service to run our servers and otherwise make possible the operation of www.yogatech.com - this company has access to no personally identifiable information about our visitors, but does have access to our server logs.

Fraudulent Orders, or attempted Online Fraud
We are members of the Merchant911 alliance - a body committed to fighting online fraud in all its various unsavory forms. Any detected attempt to defraud us by use of stolen credit cards, the use of our site to test stolen credit card numbers, or other scams designed to illegally avoid payment, will be reported to Merchant911, including full details of the would-be purchaser, stolen credit card numbers, etc. This information will be published in their database (available to members only) as well as being sent out on a mailing list to all their registered subscribers. Serious incidences of online fraud will also be reported to the appropriate department of the US Secret Service, who are responsible for dealing with such matters. In all cases the would-be purchaser will also be informed of our action.

Rest assured that misunderstandings that may arise from time to time in the course of normal business dealings will not be dealt with in this manner, but will be resolved directly with the customer, and, we would hope, to their complete satisfaction, in line with our sales guarantee.

Business Transitions
In the event that Yoga Technology goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, visitors' personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Visitors will be notified via email and prominent notice on our Web site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information. Every promotional email message sent by us contains simple unsubscribe instructions. All unsubscribe requests received by us are acted upon immediately.

Safeguarding our Information

This Web site takes every precaution to protect our visitors' information. When visitors submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks visitors to enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
