Shakta Kaur Khalsa has practiced and taught yoga since 1975. She is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, and an AMS-certified Montessori educator. She is the author of several well-known books for adults and children as well as numerous magazine articles, and promoter of the Radiant Child program - introducing Kundalini Yoga to children in a fun and inviting manner.
Shakta Khalsa began practicing yoga in 1972, and has been teaching the Kundalini Yoga of Yogi Bhajan since 1976. She is an IKYTA certified teacher trainer and a 500 RYT with Yoga Alliance.
Additionally, she is author of books including Kundalini Yoga, Yoga for Women and also several yoga books for children, such as "Fly Like a Butterfly". She has also written numerous articles about yoga and healthful living for many publications, including Mothering Magazine and Washington Parents.
Shakta Khalsa lives in Virginia, and travels extensively throughout the year, teaching Kundalini Yoga workshops, yoga for women, and The Radiant Child Yoga Program, a certificate program for teaching children yoga.
She has produced a range of musical CDs to complement and accompany this program, helping to bring the joy of Kundalini Yoga to the little ones in all of our lives.
