Santokh Singh founded the Pasadena Awareness Center in 1975, and is the developer of the Ten Body Tune Up, a healing procedure based on his work with Yogi Bhajan.
He has created some inspirational and helpful Kundalini Yoga CDs to assist beginners in starting their own personal journey with this ancient form of yoga. His CD, "Mantras of the Master – Yogi Bhajan" is renowned for its simple and easy to understand pace. Now, it’s even easier for Kundalini Yoga beginners to understand the exact pronunciations of the famous and effective Mantras introduced by Yogi Bhajan so many years ago. Additionally, his booklet and CD combo, "A Simple Yoga Practice", is the perfect resource for those starting out and looking for extra direction.
One of his favorite quotes to new students is Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. In other words, when starting something new, many people sabotage themselves by wanting to be perfect from the start, and if they can't do it well then they don't do it at all.
According to Dr. Khalsa, what makes more sense is to start and realize that at first you will not be doing it very well, but if you keep up and practice regularly, you will improve very quickly. Let go of the desire to practice Kundalini Yoga to perfection and instead, begin living this lifestyle actively with daily devotion and practice.
These yogic techniques start the self-healing process, even if they are not done perfectly.
