Introducing
Guru Rattana, Ph.D.
Astrologer, Author and
Teacher of Kundalini Yoga

| "Guru
Rattana, Thank you for your encouragement. I am deeply grateful
for the strong, clear spirit with which you sustain and invigorate
us all. Your thoroughly sane and intelligent approach to spiritual
practice and life in general is truly uplifting. It is a great
tribute to Yogiji that he has spawned a generation of self-motivated,
God-centered spiritual practitioners, such as you, who have
benefited so much from his teachings that they are able to
stand in their own strong and clear consciousnesses and serve
as beacons of truth and light to new generations of seekers."

Through
extensive travel, education, teaching and her own inner journey,
Guru Rattana has consciously prepared for this moment in history.
Since the age of twenty-six she has followed a committed spiritual
path. She studied Hatha yoga for 8 years, trained with Yogi Bhajan
for 26 years, and has studied tai chi, kung fu and chi gong.
After
college she studied French in Paris for one year. The following
year she spent in Italy, taking the first year of her MA from
Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. After
completing her MA. in Washington, D.C., she spent the next six
years in Geneva, Switzerland, where she earned her Doctorate in
Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International
Studies (University of Geneva). Her thesis was the first study
on international environmental co-operation. While in Geneva,
she worked for the United Nations Environment Program.
Following
receipt of her Doctorate, she pursued an academic career. She
has taught International Environment and Development Studies at
Dartmouth College, MIT, and New Hampshire College. In 1985 she
moved to San Diego where she taught Philosophies of Life and History
at the U.S. International University.
She
lived to Palo Alto between 1994-1998. There she was invited to
teach two Kundalini yoga and meditation courses: Your
Life Is In Your Chakras and Balancing
Male-Female Polarities at the Institute of Transpersonal
Psychology. She was also invited to teach Kundalini Yoga at Stanford
University as part of the Health Improvement Program. Guru Rattana
has taught at the Khalsa Woman's Training Camp and the 3HO Summer
Solstice Celebration in New Mexico. She has lived and taught in
San Diego since 1999.

Curiosity
about life lead Guru Rattana to astrology. She was interested
in finding out more about herself and how best to live her life.
She explains: "Astrology provides a system and symbols that
opens up intuitive knowing. With only a small amount of understanding,
the symbols graciously reveal more and more insight into oneself,
others and the universe. It is like tapping into the mother lode
and having cosmic knowledge endlessly spew forth. The unknown
becomes known."
She finds the cosmic connection exhilarating: "I find the
practical application of knowing who I am dealing with and what
to expect a relief. There is not so much guess work in relationships.
I am less judgmental and have a tool to help others and myself.
Astrology helped me take off my blinders and expand my world."
She
wrote Inner
and Outer Ecology: Transitions to a Sustainable Worldview
for
the Earth Summit.
| Her
groundbreaking book -
The Destiny of Women Is the Destiny of the World-
has sold over 1000 copies by word of mouth in its self-published
version. Between 1993 and 1998 Guru Rattana wrote over 500
essay-poems that make up over 25 books that are waiting to
be shared with the world. |

Guru
Rattana has given hundreds of workshops and classes on personal
empowerment, featuring Kundalini yoga and meditation, which she
has carefully prepared for videos and audio cassette production.
(She rarely teaches the same subject twice.) Her unique presentation
incorporates her writings, a profound understanding of spiritual
principles and human growth, and the transmutation of emotional
energy into higher awareness. Each class is a milestone in consciousness.
Her
life is devoted to experiencing higher meaning, feeling more and
more alive and establishing a spiritual connection with her Soul
and God. In turn she is able to help others experience their own
spiritual upliftment and connection.
As
a pioneering teacher, she uniquely synthesizes the basic techniques
from the science of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation and incorporates
principles from her practice of the internal martial arts - Tai
Chi and Chi Gong. Her approach is to "market for results."
She shares her profound knowledge on a wide range of topics including-Living
on the Creative Edge, Soul Consciousness, the Art and Science
of a Successful Woman, Inner Beauty and Radiance, Tantric Sexuality,
From Co-dependence to Co-creation, Rejuvenation through Redirecting
Stress, Releasing Addictions by Going for God.
Guru
Rattana
believes higher consciousness is a requirement to find solutions
to all world problems. As we change our consciousness and become
personally empowered, we transform the world. Her life is devoted
to helping people move beyond hope and belief to the EXPERIENCE
of the ecstasy of Self and the Divine in all life and to make
their unique contribution to the world.
