The Kundalini Yoga Companion CD, compiled by Shakta Khalsa, is a collection of divine music and mantra created for easy use with Shakta's book Kundalini Yoga, and to listen to anytime you want to relax, heal, meditate, and pray.
The songs and mantras in English have the power to affirm and elevate the spirit. Those in the Gurmukhi language, employ the ancient sacred science of the Word or Shabad. Contained within them is the sound current that has an uplifting vibratory effect on the listener. Listening is good, chanting even better, and chanting from the heart or brow point is divine!

Shakta Kaur Khalsa has practiced and taught yoga since 1975. She is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, and an AMS-certified Montessori educator. She is the author of several well-known books for adults and children as well as numerous magazine articles, and promoter of the Radiant Child program - introducing Kundalini Yoga to children in a fun and inviting manner.

Snatam Kaur has been singing and playing music virtually all of her life. As a young girl in California, she learned to sing with her mother in the Sikh musical style. As she has grown, her musical scope has expanded, and she now includes many traditions and many instruments in her exploration of sound.

Wah's music reflects a thirst for spiritual experience. Chanting, meditation and devotion are woven into her daily existence. Ancient scriptures and poetry, meditative technology, and longing for God are all part of her everyday thought.

The late Singh Kaur (Lorellei), well-respected and loved by the Kundalini Yoga community, was a singer-composer-arranger of rare magnitude. She possessed both a keen compositional mind and a soothing, crystal clear voice, which both uplifted and inspired. It still does!

Gurudass Singh Khalsa, a trained and gifted musician and his then wife, Gurudass Kaur Khalsa, a songwriter with a strong and powerful voice, formed a unique and seemingly perfect musical union. They brought joy to many as they spread the Kundalini Yoga teachings of Yogi Bhajan.

Yogi Bhajan broke the ancient tradition of secrecy to introduce the ancient and powerful technology of Kundalini yoga to the West. Traditionally these sacred teachings were passed from teacher to student in a very selective and elitist fashion and had never been taught anywhere publicly.

Gurushabd Singh Khalsa has inspired thousands of yoga teachers, their students and their student's students for over thirty years, with his long line of heartfelt Kundalini Yoga songs and yogic chants and mantras.

Livtar Singh Khalsa has been known for almost 30 years as one of the most inspirational songwriters and singers of the Khalsa Kundalini Yoga musical heritage. Livtar's songs of love and inspiration that have been sung by generations of spiritual seekers.
