Since the age of twenty-six, Guru Rattana has followed a committed spiritual path. Her training with the late Yogi Bhajan commenced in 1977.

Guru Rattana is author of four of the original Kundalini yoga and meditation manuals. These are still reckoned to be among the best available, and are distributed all over the world: Transitions to a Heart-Centered World, Relax and Renew, Sexuality and Spirituality, and Introduction to Kundalini Yoga.

She is also author of Your Life is in Your Chakras from which she has taught workshops that are ready to be made into videos.

Her groundbreaking book - The Destiny of Women Is the Destiny of the World - has sold over 1000 copies by word of mouth in its self-published version. Between 1993 and 1998 Gururattan wrote over 500 essay-poems that make up over 25 books that are waiting to be shared with the world.

Guru Rattana has given hundreds of workshops and classes on personal empowerment, featuring Kundalini yoga and meditation, which she has carefully prepared for video and audio cassette production. (She rarely teaches the same subject twice.)
