With this experience on board she decided that this sacred technology had to be shared with mankind. So in 1998 she began the teacher-training course with SKY (School of Kundalini Yoga).
Immediately after completing the course she began teaching, before and after her working day in the fashion industry. But her life became a struggle; there was this constant knowing that she had to leave the fashion industry and dedicate her life to teaching others how to free themselves. After two years of an internal tug of war, she finally decided to teach full time and dedicate herself to living in full truth, and motivating others to do the same.
Since leaving the Fashion business in May 2001, the opportunities came in thick and fast. In fact the day she told her business partner that she was resigning was the day she received her spiritual name from Yogi Bhajan. Siri Datta translates into "the great giver".
She began teaching at a variety of venues, Private Health Clubs, Hotels (The Metropolitan, The Hailkan and The Great Eastern), alternative health practices, her home, festivals and Yoga spaces. All with the same response: A huge rush of transformation and excitement. The classes became wild, totally unpredictable.
She started an addictions' class at The Yoga Therapy Centre, in the Royal Homeopathic Hospital in Great Ormond Street. This class was open to all types of addiction from drugs/alcohol to food and sex.
She also taught at centres for those recovering from depression, mental breakdowns and anxiety. It was also such a phenomenal transformation for the group. Week after week there were reports of massive progress and achievement that she had to take a deep breath to even believe that she could be some how instrumental in this journey.
Working with guests and staff at the Hotels was such fun. She came across some very wonderful people; the first class at The Great Eastern will always be very memoral. She was invited to take a daily class for a week with the main group of PeaceMakers within the UN. They would speak for hours afterwards about their love for mankind and the Planet.
Royalty also crossed her path with daily one-to-one sessions with The Iranian Princess at the Hailkan (The sister Hotel to the Metropolitan). But the most fun was spent teaching the cast of American Pie II at the Metropolitan. It was a classic example that you can laugh to the point of tears within a yoga class.
In 2001, there were many more changes to come. After completing Reiki I, II and Masters in 6 months her world as she knew it moved to another dimension. She met another beloved teacher, Anrul Ullah who humbly connected her up with the Christ Consciousness, yet again. It is this Soul, which brought in the light at such a level that has no words, only the eyes can hint at the depth behind them.
What the goal now?
As its always been, to inspire and uplift humanity, while living her life as true to the source as can be. A way she has been doing this is by holding Retreats in UK and abroad. It's a very easy combination of just being who you really are; showing people there is an alternative way of being with one another.
These retreats are not some quiet, meditative and peaceful spaces; they are full of the wonder of Life. Sunrise at Stonehenge, sunset at Glastonbury Tor, climbing trees, leaf catching, staying up for the whole of the duration of the retreat (if you want to) and endless tears and laughter.
Siri Datta will write many more books, not just on yoga, but words of inspiration and elevation that will resonate with many people. There is a growing movement within humanity, and she has decided to become a beacon for the truth. She also plan's to release a range of Yoga videos to accompany the books.
Another area she is working on is women's empowerment. Dissolving the patterns that society have taught women, giving back the female their wings, so they may fly to the heights that is theirs by birthright.
Her philosophy is "A glimpse of your Self, will change your life in that moment. It is my intention to be one of the brightest mirror's that you have ever looked into".
