Alice Clagett has had a deep interest in spirituality since her earliest days. She practiced Kundalini yoga and tantric yoga as a long-time member of 3HO, and now delights in heart-centered meditation with her friends at the Self-Realization Fellowship.
She has a BA in English Literature from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia, where she was a member of the English, Science, and Chemistry honorary societies. A recipient of the Darden Award for Scholastic Achievement, she graduated with highest distinction, rank first in class.
Alice was Scientific Editor at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, for 7 years, and now earns her living as a web site designer. Some of the things she loves to do most are hiking and flower photography, and occasionally, when the muse strikes, she writes poetry.

"Each time I chance upon a flower on some solitary garden path, my heart sings, 'Joy walks here!' Such beauty in so small a space! Flowers are, without a doubt, God's love notes to the world! I am reminded who guides our steps, who loves us with a love more deep than our own forgetfulness, and who placed in each human heart -- right within our grasp -- all the wonders of the universe. Our hearts are God's garden, and each flower in it is His own heart's delight!"
